Embracing the Shadow Within
By acknowledging and understanding the Shadow Self, we can transform negative patterns and create space for personal growth and healing.
We often have to repress feelings such as anger or jealousy, because they are not socially acceptable behaviors.
These unwanted feelings accumulate in the unconscious mind, where they grow and continue to affect our behavior and influence our experiences, creating the “Shadow self”.
The Shadow Self, made up of these suppressed characteristics, often draws negative experiences into our lives.

This means that if we have negative feelings about someone, it is our Shadow Self that has attracted them to us and caused us to feel the way we do towards them.
It is even likely that the characteristics of this unwanted person that we dislike the most are characteristics of our Shadow Self and we have these similar traits within us.

Reiki encourages self-awareness and introspection, offering a gentle way to explore these hidden aspects.
By paying attention to the feelings and patterns within us, Reiki creates an opportunity to acknowledge and accept these parts of ourselves.
This process supports personal growth and facilitates change in our inner world.
